This female American Kestrel flies off perch to catch a moth at Pound Ridge Reservation in Westchester County, NY. She was later seen retrieving a small mammal from the middle of the sanctuary road. The mammal was placed there by a male Kestrel just a split second before. April 1, 2009. |
